4. Data collection on our website
Some of our Internet pages use what are known as cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies are designed to make our website more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are what are known as "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit our website.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close you browser. The functionality of this website may be limited if cookies are deactivated.
Cookies, which are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you have requested (e.g. shopping basket function), are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for technically error-free and optimized provision of his services. As far as other cookies (e.g. cookies for the analysis of your surfing behavior) are stored, these will be treated separately in this data protection statement.
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in what are known as server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
Browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Host name of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
This data is not combined with other sources of data.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
If you send us enquiries using the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
The data entered in the contact form is therefore processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal e-mail. The legality of the data processing until the time it is withdrawn remains unaffected by this withdrawal of consent.
The data entered by you in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, you withdraw the consent for storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.
Processing of data (customer and contract data)
We collect, process and use personal data only to the extent necessary for the purpose of setting up, designing the content of or changing the legal relationship (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. We collect, process and use personal data about the use of our Internet pages (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable or invoice the user for the use of the service.
The customer data collected will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Legal retention periods remain unaffected.
5. Analysis tools and advertising
This website uses functions provided by the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses what are known as "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behaviour so that both his website and his advertising can be optimized.
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This will cause your IP address to be shortened by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other countries party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
Objection to data collection
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set, which prevents the collection of your data on future visits to this website: Disable Google Analytics.
More information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google's data protection statement: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.
Contract for data processing
We have concluded a contract with Google for commissioned data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities for the use of Google Analytics.
Demographic features on Google Analytics
This website uses the "demographic features" function of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be created that contain information on the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-related advertising provided by Google and from visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can disable this feature at any time from your Google Account ad preferences or opt-out of Google Analytics collecting your information generally as described in the "Objection to data collection" section.
Google Analytics Remarketing
Our websites use the functions provided by Google Analytics Remarketing in connection with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
This function enables the target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing to be linked with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. In this way, interest-related, personalized advertising messages that have been adapted to you depending on your previous usage and surfing behaviour on one device (e.g. mobile phone) can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g. tablet or PC).
Once you have given your permission, Google will link your web and app browsing history to your Google Account for that purpose. In this way, the same personalized advertising messages can be delivered to every device you sign in to with your Google Account.
To support this feature, Google Analytics collects Google authenticated user IDs that are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data to define and create cross-device ad targeting.
You can permanently object to cross-device remarketing/targeting by disabling personalized advertising in your Google Account by following this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.
The gathering of the data collected in your Google Account is based solely on your consent, which you can submit to Google or may withdraw (Art. 6 par. 1 lit. a GDPR). For data collection operations that are not merged into your Google Account (for example, because you do not have a Google Account or have objected to this being merged), the collection of data is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator has an interest in anonymous analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.
Further information and the data protection regulations can be found in Google's data protection statement at: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/.
Google AdWords and Google Conversion-Tracking
This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google").
We use what is known as conversion tracking as part of Google AdWords. When you click on an ad displayed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that the Internet browser places on the user's computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to identify users personally. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, we can recognize, as can Google, that the user has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to this page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that personally identifies users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via your Internet browser under User Settings. They will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
“Conversion cookies" are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour so that both his website and his advertising can be optimised.
You can change the setting sof your browser so that you will be informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, you can exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. The functionality of this website may be limited if cookies are deactivated.
If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data will not be collected or will only be collected on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively to send the information requested and do not pass this on to third parties.
The data entered in the newsletter registration form will be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of this data, your e-mail address and the use of this for the purpose of sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing procedures already carried out remains unaffected by this withdrawal.
The data you provide us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the member area) remains unaffected by this.
This website uses the services provided by MailChimp to send newsletters. The provider is Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.
MailChimp is a service, which can organize and analyse the sending of newsletters. If you enter data for the purpose of newsletter subscription (e.g. e-mail address), this is stored on MailChimp’s servers in the USA.
We can analyze our newsletter campaigns with the help of MailChimp. When you open an e-mail sent with MailChimp, a file contained in the e-mail (what is known as a web beacon) connects to the MailChimp servers in the USA. This allows it to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and, if applicable, which links have been clicked on. In addition, technical information is recorded (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient. It is used exclusively for statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses may be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.
If you do not want MailChimp to analyse your data, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide an appropriate link in every newsletter message for this purpose. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.
The data will be processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of the data processing procedures already carried out remains unaffected by this withdrawal.
The data about you stored for the purpose of newsletter subscription will be kept by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers as well as from MailChimp’s servers once you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the member area) remain unaffected by this.
Conclusion of a data processing agreement
