Why?
In accordance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive and DIN EN ISO 14120 (Safety of machinery - Isolating protective devices), the topic of equipotential bonding is becoming increasingly important. Equipotential bonding is used to protect people from electric shock in the event of a fault if electrically conductive parts of the machine and/or the protective fence become live unintentionally. This can occur, for example, due to damaged insulation of a cable of the machine or a mobile piece of electrical equipment.
Thanks to an integrated design solution, you do not need any additional conductive connecting elements for protective equipotential bonding within the Frame protective fence system. This has the advantage of reduced installation time and good clarity. The protective fence is still integrated into the protective conductor system (earthing) of the machine or system via appropriate protective conductors.
